References:

The following references are required for individuals who want to be placed on the Public Housing/Low Rent waiting list:

Landlord References

List last 3 landlords for each adult member of the household. Include the landlords' name, address, city/state/zip, date you moved in, date you moved out, and address of the unit rented.

1. Start with your present or most current landlord and work backward (previous landlord,
   one before that, etc.)
2. Someone you currently live with or lived with in the past is not considered a landlord
3. Do not list shelters and rehab centers as landlords(these can be used as Professional References)
4. We must have complete addresses so we can mail out the reference forms to the people you list

Professional References

List 3 professional references. Include the name, address, city/state/zip, phone, and the persons professional elationship to you.

1. This must be someone with whom you have a Professional Relationship
   (Example - Dr., Minister, Employer, Counselor, Teacher, Etc.)
2. These persons cannot be related to you or anyone else on your application
3. Do not list your landlord as a professional reference
4. Do not list friends or neighbors
5. Do not list more than one person from the same place, agency, school, doctor's office, church, old employers, or from your current place of employment
