Project TOTAL (Teaching Our Tenants And Landlords) offered through
Greene Metropolitan Housing Authority forms a continuum of outreach
and follow-up support between homeless persons served by the agency,
community landlords and local service providers.
This partnership assures that homeless and at-risk
people can safely reenter and maintain housing as permanent community
residents. The goal of Project TOTAL is to assist homeless families
and individuals to find and keep permanent housing and to prevent
high risk (at risk of eviction) families and individuals from becoming
homeless.
Project TOTAL staff assists families and individuals
find housing and once housing is secured provide intensive follow
up and supportive services to insure tenant stability.

Tenants
Project TOTAL promotes tenant responsibility through self-sufficiency,
individual case management, systems advocacy, crisis intervention,
landlord-tenant liaison support, peer-support, on-going basic skill
development, information and referral. Follow-up services and supportive
services are available to participants of Project TOTAL for a period
of six to twelve months. Project TOTAL staff works one on one with
individuals to assist them in obtaining their set goals.
If you are interested in becoming a participant of Project TOTAL
and are currently experiencing homelessness and need assistance,

Landlords
Section 8 landlords are important to Project TOTAL. Landlords that
are involved with Project TOTAL receive information, services, and
support to insure that their rental units remain occupied by responsible
and dependable tenants. Project TOTAL is dedicated to preventing
at-risk families and individuals from eviction.
If you are a Section 8 landlord and are interested in Project TOTAL,
please contact Bernice Brett at 376-2908.
