Greene Metropolitan Housing Authority owns and manages seventy-two family units in the City of Xenia. Family units are dispersed throughout the city.

There are 32 two-bedroom homes, 36 three-bedroom homes and 4 four-bedroom homes. Residents are responsible for all utilities and are required to pay rent based on 30% of their income or they may select a flat rent. All units have washer dryer hook-up, stove and refrigerator. Most homes have a nice size yard and garage. Residents are responsible for the upkeep of their yard.

Homes located in Xenia are close to many major retailers. Central State and Wilberforce Universities and the Greene County Career Center are located just outside of the city of Xenia. Xenia offers a library, food pantry, bike path and many parks and activities such as the Xenia Old Fashion Days Festival, for its residents. Xenia is the hub for most of the social services available to Greene County residents. Job and Family Services is located in Xenia and provides a wide variety of programs and services to assist individuals with becoming self-sufficient.
