About GMHA

GMHA is a public entity, non-for-profit agency and receives most of its funding through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Mission Statement:

GMHA is committed to providing quality, affordable housing and services in an efficient and creative manner.

Brenda Smallwood, Executive Director

The five member board that governs GMHA is appointed by the Probate and Common Pleas Courts, the County Commissioners, and the Mayor of Beavercreek - the county's most populated city. Under this leadership, GMHA works towards the following goals:

  • Expand the supply of housing opportunities
  • Disperse the housing throughout the county and within each locality
  • Offer low income families better locations for housing
  • Aid in upgrading local housing through GMHA programs
  • Be sensitive to the goals and desires of the community
  • Respect the dignity and rights of tenants

To meet these goals, GMHA offers a variety of programs and provides housing units- most of which are single family homes- in the following Greene County cities: Beavercreek, Cedarville, Fairborn, Xenia, Yellow Springs.

Vision:

Housing That Works To Enhance Life in Greene County!
